Dream Valley Challenge #10 - Ribbon

I can't believe 2 weeks have already flown by and it's time for a new challenge over at Dream Valley Challenges.  This time, your challenge if you choose to take it, is to use Ribbon on your next project.  The DT have some awesome projects to share if you pop over and have a look.  Hope you join us, we would love to see your creations.

This image came from Arthurs Clipart.  I saw quite a few other images that I really liked.  I'm going to me downloading some others.  Cardstock is Stampin Up and the yellow ribbon was a 10yd roll that I got on sale at Michael's for $.99.  The sponsor for this challenge is Crafty Ribbons.

Scrappers Delight Summer Blog Hop

Welcome!  In honor of Summer Vacation we are having a Summer themed Blog Hop.  This hop is open to everyone including our International Friends and runs thru July 8!  There are 3 ways to win.  You can win blog candy by following the blog hop and collecting letters from scrapbooking elements along the way.  Once you have reached the last blog and collected all the letters, some blogs may have 2 scrapbook elements so make sure you check the blogs very careful, unscramble the letters to reveal a well known Summer Theme Song. If you wish to be entered into the Summer Theme Blog Hop Draw make sure you post your answers onto the main blog page at Scrappers Delight and link back to your blog so we can contact the lucky winners who will be announced July 11.  Be sure to sign up to the Scrappers Delight Group as they have many give always and monthly swaps and challenges going on throw out the year.

If you came from Paper Compulsions you are in the right place.  If you stumbled upon this post by accident and want to participate please go start at the beginning at Scrappers Delight.  I decided to make a scrapbook layout.  I got Campin Critters recently and have been dying to use it.  We like to go camping so this is what I came up with.  I hope you like it!

I used misc cardstock, Doodle Bug dots paper and some older Cosmo Cricket.  The label was something I've had around forever.  I'm really trying to make an effort to use up scraps.  I'm so glad that you were able to pop by for a visit and your next stop on the hop is Scrap-A-Rama.  Good luck getting those letters unscrambled!

Just in case you get lost along the way, here is a list of all of the particpants.

Last one for tonight

Operation We R Grateful #6  at Inking It Up Crazy was for a Get Well card.  I hadn't used this cut yet on Damask Decor but thought it fit the bill.

I welded the background cut to create the card. I added some prima flowers and I don't remember where the metal flowers came from.  I've had them forever.  I thought it turned out pretty cute!

Hopefully tomorrow I can go back create cards for the challenges I missed, Happy Birthday, Miss You and Thanks.

Be sure to visit again on Fri for the Summer Blog Hop that I am particpating in.  It should be lots of fun!

Operation We R Grateful #5

Ok challenge #5 in the challenge at Inking It Up Crazy was for a love card.  I really thought the monkey was too cute.   I used my cricut for the vines and monkey.  Stamps are from Stampendous.

Operation We R Grateful #4

I didn't follow the order of all the challenges at Inking It Up Crazy.  Next I went to Challenge #4 which was a Hello card.  I used my cricut to create the shape card and I've had the image colored just hadn't used it yet.

I've been wanting to send some cards to Operation Write Home.  So the challenge over at Inking It Up Crazy is perfectly time.  Here is my take on Thinking of You.

Whaatttt! 2 posts in 1 day...

It doesn't happen too often but I've managed to get another card done, while still checking out all the blogs I like to follow and a blog hop. Sometimes the darn computer can make me so unproductive. On my last post you saw the Father's Day card for my dad. Well his birthday also land's very close to Father's Day, sometimes even on the day. So, I've also gotten his birthday card done too.  He and mom are farmers who like to ride on the weekends.  I found this image at Two for Tuesday

Stamps were a clear birthday set but don't remember who they were made by.  I embossed all the words in silver embossing powder.  It's been FOREVER since I broke out the heat gun.  Patterned paper is from Basic Grey, Skate Shoppe.  I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Crazy 4 Challenges #91 - Masculine card
Sweet Stop Sketches #112 - Sketch

Thanks for stopping by to have a peek and I hope you find some inspiration from my creations!

Father's Day is just around the corner

About 6-8 months ago my dad bought an old pickup.  It's turquoise.  I don't know the year or make but turquoise hasn't been popular for some time.  It's in pretty good shape.  The guy that he bought it from has taken it to car shows.  It's not restored but original condition.  They did re-upholster the seats after they got it.  I found a truck that very much looks like dad's on the Nifty Fifties cart.  Of course I to make the truck turquoise.

As you can see in the last picture, I cuttlebugged the bottom of the card.  The DP is Basic Grey.  I also used an MS border punch.  I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Polka Doodles - Something for Dad
Whimsical Wednesday's - Happy Father's Day
Celebrate the Occasion #17 - Father's Day

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Cricut Circle Monthly Challenge

The challenge for the month of June was a project for the kids on vacation trips.  I decided on an autograph album for Disney World.   We are hoping to go this winter but will have to see what happens around here with the Missouri River flooding.  Keep your fingers crossed it doesn't reach our home!

The ears and glove border are from Mickey and Friends.  The word Autograph is from Mickey Font.  I took a close up of the gloves so you could see they are glittered for a little girly bling.  I also use my white gel pen for some highlighting.

Hope you enjoyed the project.
